EXCLUSIVE: Check out these redevelopment plans for Cwmbran

Vitalize Radio can exclusively confirm that planning permission has been granted for a change of use from shop (A1 Use Class) to food and drink (A3 Use Class) for a premises located in Cwmbran Centre.

The premises was formerly known as ‘The Works‘ which has recently relocated elsewhere in Cwmbran Centre to a larger unit.

Vitalize Radio understands that the Boswells brand will be taking over the premises, and can exclusively reveal a look at the proposed elevations that have been approved.

The move which welcomes Boswells to Cwmbran Centre is amongst previously announced redevelopment plans for the centre in areas including Gwent Square and Monmouth Square.

Approval for Monmouth Square redevelopments was granted on 18th April 2018, whilst approval for Boswells in Gwent Square was granted on 19th July 2019.

As well as new businesses and redevelopment plans announced for Cwmbran Centre, a planning application has been approved for the construction of a new A1 retail outlet with associated parking at Llantarnam Park Way.

The application is for a single storey retail unit of 116 sqm, with an access road and 14 parking spaces (including two disabled spaces) and associated bin store. The unit is to be occupied by Greggs PLC (‘Greggs’) as a retail bakery.

Approval for the new Greggs unit was granted on 19th July 2019.
