Have the X Factor Judges’ categories been revealed?

It’s time, to face, THE MUSIC!

Whilst ITV themselves are yet to reveal the judges categories for the 2018 series, it seems that many who were in attendance at yesterday’s six chair challenge have revealed who’s looking after each category this year.

According to sources, this series Simon has got the Girls, Louis will make his X Factor debut with the Boys, Ayda’s first series will see her looking after the Overs and that leaves former Take That singer Robbie with the groups.

This year, bootcamp has been scrapped with acts instead going straight through to the six chair challenge from their audition.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper previously: “It’s going to be more competitive than ever as those who get through the auditions will have to be the best of the best to survive the Six Chair Challenge.

“It’s all part of freshening up the show to match the new panel. It will add loads of drama and really spice things up.”

In the six chair challenge, the remaining acts in each category will perform one by one for all four judges and a live audience who will offer their comments and critiques.

Those that make it through will go forward to judges’ houses and potentially the live shows.

No start date has been confirmed just yet, but the series typically begins the end of August or start of September.

Alongside the new judges, Sharon Osbourne will return to the panel for the live shows.

The X Factor airs on ITV later this year.
