Yellow weather warning for snow and ice

Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in Wales and England.
Met Office have said that rain may turn to snow, which along with widespread ice, will lead to the potential for some disruption to travel and utilities.
The weather warning is set to come into force from midnight and last until 18:00 on Monday 28th December.
Temperatures for Cwmbran are set to reach a maximum of 4° with lows of 0°
What to expect:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

This message will be updated at 7:00 PM or if the situation changes. At 11:30 AM, the level at Brecon Promenade was 1.6 metres and falling. A peak level of 2.9 metres occurred at 3:45 AM today. The level at Abergavenny was 4 metres and falling. A peak level of 4.1 metres occurred at 9:45 AM today. The level at Usk Town was 3.2 metres and rising. A peak level of between 3.2 and 3.4 metres is expected to occur this afternoon.
