McDonalds has revealed today that it will begin to reopen for customers in May.
Initially, there will be just 15 restaurants reopening across the UK from May 13th. The locations of these restaurants is yet to be revealed.
McDonalds will reopen with a limited menu, and will temporarily stop their breakfast menu as opening hours are said to be from 11am to 10pm.
A number of safety measures will be put in place before reopening including installation of Perspex screens and repositioning of equipment to ensure staff are able to distance safely.
Initially, McDonalds will be available via delivery only with Uber Eats as opening restaurants to customers is not yet advised.
In a message to staff from CEO of McDonalds UK and Ireland, Paul Pompey, he mentions that tests have taken place this week to enable the company to reopen restaurants in a limited capacity.
