Met Office issues snow & ice weather warning

Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Wales and England.

The weather warning comes into force from 17:00 today (Thursday 7th January) and is set to last until 23:59 tomorrow (Friday 8th January).

Met Office have predicted showers of rain, sleet and snow. Icy stretches are likely to form perhaps leading to some disruption to travel with snow falling for some places.

What to expect

• Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
• Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
• Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
