Team Vitalize Have A Blast At Cwmbran Big Event

On Saturday the 14th June, Cwmbran Big Event – a free local event organised by Cwmbran Community Council – made its much anticipated return which saw thousands flock to Cwmbran Boating Lake for a day of activities, food and a whole host of fun.

For the second year in a row, Vitalize Radio had the honour of hosting the Boating Lake side of the event from 12noon until 2.30pm bringing music, dance and all-round good vibes to the hive of activity.

Presenters Steve Powell and Ieuan Bradfield took the lead on hosting with a range of interviews taking place throughout the day. Staff members from Gwent Police, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service as well as S.A.R.A (Severn Area Rescue Association) all took time during the event to have a chat and as a team, Vitalize would like to thank these individuals hugely as well as everyone who came to say hello!

Steve said: “Vitalize Radio is primarily a community radio station, therefore we are at our best when we are performing to our friends in Torfaen. In fact, all of us are at our best when we are able to meet our amazing listeners. Thanks so much to everyone who came along to the event, especially Team Vitalize who made the day so successful.”

Ieuan added: “What a fantastic event to attend. Having the chance to meet, present to and chat with members of the community, young and old, all of which had beaming smiles on their faces was fantastic. It was such a great atmosphere. Thank you so much for a great day Torfaen!”

An event wouldn’t be the same without an impromptu performance from Vibes Dance Kids who impressed with their superb dancing skills at the recent ‘Torfaen Pride’ event. What a sensational bunch of children! As well as the one and only Mad Mel, who took over the reigns from 2.30pm until the end of the event.
